Tell me about your note-taking abilities (check one and add to it or cross things off that don't apply to you in order to give me the most accurate picture possible.)

______ I take great notes. I get down on paper nearly everything that's said. I worry about not having enough time to look at the images because I'm writing so much.

______ I take good condensed notes. I'm very good at getting "bullet points" of most important info and manage to get a thumbnail sketch of the work on the screen.

______ My notes are uneven because I never know exactly what to write down. I waste a lot of time trying to guess what the most important points are.

______ My notes are uneven because I tend to focus on only what really interests me.

______ I don't really take notes because:

(a) I tend to rely heavily on the textbook(s) for this type of information

(b) I tend to rely heavily on one of my friends for this type of information

(c) My spelling is horrendous and my handwriting is worse -- I can never read them anyway

(d) I'm visually stimulated. Therefore I make a detailed drawing of the picture on the screen.

(e) I absorb the information better by listening to it. That's just the way it is.

(f) I don't have a reason. Note taking just sucks!
